Each serving of Cistus Synergy as a delicious hot or cold tea supplies:
Vitamins:
Vitamin C (Magnesium Ascorbate) 60 mg 100%
Magnesium is a divalent cation, so each Magnesium atom links two molecules of alkaline Vitamin C.
When an Ascorbate molecule is actively absorbed at the gut mucosa, and again at the cell membrane, it pulls the Magnesium and the second Ascorbate molecule with it, doubling absorption at each membrane.
That means four times the amount of Vitamin C enters the cellular compartment, and this higher concentration then takes twice as long to dissipate, so the intracellular effect is equivalent to taking eight times more Ascorbic Acid in divided dose.
The other benefit of this form is that Magnesium is brought into the cell.
Magnesium is a beneficial intracellular mineral, unlike Calcium which triggers stress responses when it enters the cytoplasm.
That is why we use Magnesium Ascorbate rather than Calcium Ascorbate as in many other products on the market such as Ester-C.
Magnesium Ascorbate has better bowel tolerance than Ascorbic Acid, and absorption of both Magnesium and Vitamin C are enhanced by the combination.

Minerals:
Magnesium (Magnesium Threonate & Ascorbate) 16 mg 4%
Magnesium is an essential cofactor for over 2000 enzymes.
We use Ascorbate to deliver it to the cytoplasm and Threonate to ensure it gets into the CNS and the eye tissues.

Silica 70% (Bambusa spp.) 7 mg *
We source our Silica from Bamboo rather than Equisetum arvense because Horsetail also has diuretic effects that can easily stress the kidneys.
Silica supports bone and connective tissue health.
The connective tissues function as a fiber optic communication network throughout the body, and link directly to the cytoskeleton within each cell.

Amines:
Threonate (Magnesium Threonate) 154 mg *
The amino acid Threonine transports Magnesium across the Blood-Brain-Barrier and the Blood-Eye-Barrier.
By delivering Magnesium to the brain and retina, Magnesium Threonate supports maintenance of healthy visual and brain functions including memory.
