Vitamin C Syntropy includes the intracellular antioxidants SOD and catalase. S-acetyl glutathione delivers preformed glutathione into the cells, to support the cell's production of glutathione peroxidase. These antioxidant enzymes are the cell's front-line defense against free radicals, and they are not used up in the process.

Vitamin C Syntropy

Vitamin C Syntropy is much more than vitamin C. It is the complete intracellular antioxidant system. Oxidation is a major source of cellular damage in aging.

Formerly labeled "Synergy C", it now carries the name Syntropy. Syntropy extends synergy to include coherence. It is associated with the healing power of the spirit body, the vital force counteracting the entropy of aging.

The vitamin C comes from both magnesium ascorbate and ascorbyl palmitate.

Magnesium ascorbate links 2 vitamin C molecules to each magnesium atom. Each molecule absorbed brings in 2 of vitamin C, at both the gut lining and the cell membrane. The result is 4 times the vitamin C inside the cells, compared with plain ascorbic acid. It also takes twice as long for that vitamin C to diffuse back out.

Ascorbyl palmitate is a fat-soluble vitamin C. It goes into the cell membranes and protects them. It stays there a long time, as a sustained vitamin C reservoir.

So one capsule's 200 mg of vitamin C is equivalent to taking 1,600 mg of ascorbic acid in divided doses through the day.

Bioflavonoids, also known as vitamin P, work with vitamin C. We include quercetin dihydrate, hesperidin methyl chalcone (HMC), luteolin, fisetin and sumac. HMC supports the stability of the mast cell membrane.

Stabilized R-lipoic acid recycles vitamin C and other antioxidants in the cells, including vitamin E. It also raises cellular glutathione. Common alpha-lipoic acid is half R and half S, because it is synthetic. Our Bio-Enhanced® R-lipoate is natural. In a small study, this stabilized form gave up to 26 times higher peak blood levels than plain R-lipoic acid. Magnesium threonate raises vitamin C in the white blood cells by 300%. Threonate is also found in Ester-C. We use magnesium ascorbate instead of Ester-C's calcium ascorbate, so it raises magnesium in the cells instead of calcium. Calcium is a stressor inside the cell. Magnesium is a cofactor in over 300 enzyme processes.

Our Bioavailability Blend increases absorption at the gut lining with piperine. Ginkgo biloba extract distributes the ingredients to the tissues. We use the European standard ginkgo, EGb 761: 24% flavone glycosides, 6% lactones and under 0.0005% ginkgolic acid.

The limit counts preformed vitamin A from food and supplements together. Older jars say 1,667 IU and 1 to 4 capsules a day. That label is out of date. Take no more than 1 capsule a day, and only as guided by your health professional. Do not add other sources of preformed vitamin A. These include multivitamins, cod liver oil, liver and other formulas that list vitamin A, including our own. Do not use with retinoid medicines such as isotretinoin or acitretin. Do not use if you are pregnant, may become pregnant or are breastfeeding. Do not give it to anyone under 18.
